CNC Operator - Boring Mill
Job Description:

Responsibilities
-
Set-up, program and operate machines to meet customer
requirements in output and quality
-
Operate the CNC machine to produce custom parts for
specialized machine tools
-
Verify the accuracy prior to closing the job
-
Ensure machine is running at maximum efficiency and quality
-
Assure that parts/components is inspected and meets Quality
Assurance requirements when necessary

Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required
-
Interface with Quality and Engineering
-
Maintain proper housekeeping standards
-
Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations,
Company rules, policies and procedures

Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing
as required by the company

Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided
-
Must notify supervisor of all disfunctional and/or unsafe
equipment or work practices
-
All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers

Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience with CNC operation in Machine Tool
and/or Tool and Mold industry
-
Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring
tools
-
Ability to work independently or with supervision
-
Capable to lift up to 50lbs or 23 kilograms from ground to
table level
-
Mathematical aptitude
-
Experience with ServeCam and Heidenhain
-
Ability to do all shop math functions associated with setup
and inspection procedures
-
A thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and
tolerancing (GD&T)
-
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret; product drawings,
technical requirements, customer specifications and program
code for major CNC machine controllers
-
Ability to develop manufacturing process sequences and
prepare efficient CNC programs
-
Ability to develop new tooling concepts and implement them
into production
-
Able to lift, load and handle various size production parts
up to and including 50 pounds on a repetitive basis

Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Must be computer literate

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)Thorough
“hands on” knowledge of metal cutting including feeds and
speeds, metallurgy, tooling and cutters, fixturing,
geometric tolerancing, and statistical process control
