Comtech Group Welcomes Desmond Bell as CEO

Comtech Group, part of Accenture, is pleased to announce the appointment of Desmond (Des) Bell as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This move follows the company’s recent acquisition by Accenture, a global professional services company renowned for its leading capabilities in strategy, consulting, digital, cloud and security.
Hugo Blasutta, now serving as Senior Advisor, stated, "The strategic alignment with Accenture positions Comtech for remarkable success. I am confident in Des Bell's capacity to lead us in achieving our ambitious goals. Des Bell shared his perspective, stating, "Comtech is an outstanding organization with a legacy of excellence. As an industry leader with almost three decades of experience in domestic and international aviation and aerospace, transportation, power, utilities and environmental sectors, he added, "I look forward to working closely with Hugo and the leadership team to continue our growth journey while delivering an exceptional client experience and empowering employees with opportunities to continually grow as professionals."
Over his industry tenure, Des Bell has successfully led operationally intensive businesses, ranging from public utilities to private-equity and privately held infrastructure and professional engineering firms, both in Canada and the United States. Select key accomplishments include leading one of the largest environmental remediation efforts in the United States and the development of an electric utility national transportation electrification strategy with the White House and other US federal agencies. Des Bell joins Comtech from Anser Advisory, another key player in infrastructure project advisory, recently acquired by Accenture.
