Responsibilities:

Reporting to the
Specifications Manager, this position is responsible for the
general coordination, administrative support and the assembly
of all components associated with Construction Contract
Documents within the Engineering
& Construction department,
and responsible for administrative support for Master
Specifications and Engineering Design Manual Documents

Supporting the development of Construction Contract Documents for bidding
and construction contracts
·
Preparation of Project Manuals
·
Providing support to Senior Specification Writers in preparing the project
specific construction specifications for all tender documents
issued by the Engineering & Construction department

Providing specification support for Engineering Design Leads
·
Issuing Master
Specifications to all internal design disciplines involved in
a design contract, coordinating designer feedback and
performing administrative revisions necessary to produce
contract specific s

Ensuring all specifications within the Project Manual are prepared
according to Master Format, Section Format and Page Format as
defined by Construction Specifications Canada (CSC)
·
Reviewing project construction specification submissions from design
consultants and rectifying any errors or discrepancies
·
Identifying technical discrepancies in design consultants’ construction
specifications for review/action, prior to finalizing the
Project Manual
·
Reviewing final contractual and bidding documents prepared by the
Procurement department for all Engineering & Construction
contract specifications and identifying any discrepancies for
review/action
·
Assembling the final Project Manuals, incorporating all required
construction specifications, sketches/drawings, schedules, and
appendices; preparing table of contents and drawing list and
performing final proofreading/formatting of the entire
document
·
Coordinating drawing sheet numbering with all design disciplines
·
Validating drawing titles and numbers in Drawing List to match actual
drawings
·
Providing final check for the correct and complete assembly of all
components of the Construction Contract Documents before
issuing complete documents for tender

Preparing Addenda to document amendments to the Project Manual or
Drawings during the tender period
·
Coordinating
information transfer with Designers, Project Management staff and
Procurement staff to ensure that each addendum is correct and
complete

to tight completion deadlines established
by Project Management and dictated by the tendering process
